Hi, I’m Dr. Clark. My love for education started with my mom, who always said, “Life is learning and learning is life.” That simple phrase has stayed with me ever since. I’ve always been passionate about languages and cultures, so I’ve dedicated my studies and career to helping people learn across cultures. Over the past 15 years, I’ve taught and served students from preschool through high school, focusing on ways to make learning meaningful for every child.
I studied Vocal Performance and Spanish in college, earned a Master’s in Urban Education, then a second Master’s in the Philosophy of Education. My PhD research focused on how to build intercultural understanding in English language learning. Today, I serve as the Deputy Director of Su Casa Family Ministries here in Memphis, where we offer English classes for adults and a dual-language preschool for Latino immigrant families.
When I’m not working, I love traveling with my husband and children, exploring new cultures, and learning new languages—because for me, the joy of learning never ends.

I love to travel and pray for others, and I am a Bible teacher with a background in accounting. Before joining Su Casa in 2022, I served as a Sunday school teacher and General Administrator in my home country for 10 years.
I am grateful to be part of this amazing team and especially enjoy watching the children grow, learn, and share in fellowship—one of my favorite moments is seeing them close their little eyes and join hands in prayer before meals.

I have a Master’s degree in Education, specializing in new and innovative ways to help children learn, and I’ve been working with children and teachers for over 11 years. I’ve taught in classrooms, worked closely with teaching teams, created learning programs, and introduced teaching practices that make learning meaningful for kids.
Right now, I focus on the HighScope approach, which is all about active, hands-on learning that supports children’s overall growth. I also guide teachers and design fun, engaging learning experiences that help kids develop in every area—socially, emotionally, and academically.
I’m passionate about helping teachers grow, leading schools toward better learning environments, and always learning new things myself. I truly believe that great education starts with caring, well-trained teachers who are deeply connected to their students.

I am from Costa Rica and live in Memphis with my husband Milton and our dog Buddy. We love going for walks, enjoying nature, and sipping on a good coffee. I have a Bachelor's degree in Christian Education and Bible Teaching and have been with Su Casa for 3 years, where I have grown both personally and professionally. I love my job because it allows me to intentionally connect with children and build real relationships.
I am passionate about creating a safe and loving environment where children can learn to understand and manage their emotions, while also experiencing God's love and grace. It's also a place where they can grow in knowledge and develop their skills. Fun fact: I spent many years dressing up as a clown to introduce children to Jesus.
